National Futsal Cup 2025 kicks off in Ho Chi Minh City
(VOVWORLD) -The HDBank National Futsal Cup, co-organized by the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), opened on Sunday evening at the Lanh Binh Thang Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City, and will run until August 12.

In his opening remarks, VOV Vice President Vu Hai Quang, who is also Deputy Head of the Tournament Steering Committee, said this is a special season as it coincides with Vietnam anticipating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2). All participating teams represent the aspiration of Vietnamese futsal to reach the continental level, Mr. Quang added.

The tournament is in preparation for the 2026 Asian Futsal Qualifiers slated for September 20-24, and the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in Thailand later this year.
