In his address, Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang said: "During the 2022–2025 term, Vietnam and Australia have co-chaired SEARP amid global challenges including post-pandemic recovery, digital transformation, climate change, inequality, and supply chain disruptions. Despite these difficulties, their efforts have yielded remarkable outcomes, including the signing of the first Memorandum of Understanding between the OECD and ASEAN; the successful organization of the 2022 Southeast Asia Forum in Hanoi, which established an annual ministerial dialogue between the OECD and the region on policy and development; and the initial implementation of the Prospectus, a substantive cooperation framework focusing on green and digital transformation, inclusive growth, and productivity enhancement."
