Attendees included 6 guests who have been shining examples in the emulation movement "Good people, good deeds" to encourage studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's example.

They were Hang Trong folk painting artist Le Dinh Nghien; technician Tran Quoc Hai of the Viet Nhat Plastic Manufacturing Company; Nguyen Duc Thien, a student at the Vietnam National Academy of Music; and Do Tra My, a student at Nghia Tan Secondary School in Hanoi’s Cau Giay district.

Although Thien has been visually-impaired since he was a child, he has overcome his handicap to become an outstanding music student. Thien is currently Vice Chairman of the Tam Viet Xam Singing Club – Vietnam’s first Xam singing club for the visually-impaired.

"With a love of music and the encouragement of my parents, teachers, friends and relatives, I’ve overcome an inferiority complex and acquired greater confidence. I believe that if you’re optimistic and passionate and have the support of your community, even people with disabilities can have a bright future. I want to encourage people with disabilities to pursue knowledge and always have faith in life," said Thien.
