Following the resignation of former Prime Minister Salam Fayyad, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday appointed Rami Hamdullah as his new prime minister. Hamdallah is a member of the Fatah Party led by Abbas who has no prior political or government experience. The announcement was released by President Mahnoud Abbas on Sunday afternoon. Abbas also required Hamdullah to establish a new technocrat government.
