(VOVWORLD) -Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong closed the 14th session of the 12th Party Central Committee on Friday.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Trong affirmed that the session reached high consensus on the basic and momentous contents: finalizing documents, programs, working regulations, regulations on the election of the 13th National Party Congress and especially nominating candidates to the Politburo and the Secretariat who will be decided by the Party Central Committee’s 15th session in the near future.
He said, “The Party Central Committee believes that the 13th National Party Congress with the motto Solidarity-Democracy-Discipline-Creativity-Development will continue to discuss carefully and reach high consensus on the completion and approval of documents of the Congress, paving the way for thoroughly studying and implementing the resolutions of the Congress and fulfilling the specific goals to 2025 and 2030 and the overall vision.”
Affirming that the 14th session was a great success and prepared well for the National Party Congress, Party chief and President Trong said he expects all delegates will continue to promote their sense of responsibility and promptly and seriously implement, lead, and direct the accomplishment of tasks, practically contributing to the success of the 13th National Party Congress.
