(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary To Lam visited and extended Lunar New Year (Tet) greetings to the Party Organisation, administration and residents of Hanoi on Tuesday.

He commended Hanoi for its achievements in 2024 and urged the city to continue taking the lead in streamlining the political system.
The Party leader expressed optimism that the city will exceed the targets set at the 17th municipal Party Congress, contributing to national growth, prosperity and stability.
The same day, Mr. Lam inspected combat readiness at the National Cyber Security Centre under the Ministry of Public Security’s Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, and the Command Centre of the Ministry of National Defence’s Air Defense - Air Force Service.
At the National Cyber Security Centre, the Party chief extended his New Year greetings to officials and soldiers on duty, while commending the force for detecting and cracking down on a number of major cases of high-tech crime and cyber fraud.
2025 is an important year, he said, noting criminals are using modern technologies with more sophisticated fraud methods. In the current digital transformation age, ensuring national sovereignty in cyberspace is an important, long-term task, and a key factor in forming a safe and stable cyberspace for all countries, including Vietnam, he said.

At the Command Centre of the Air Defense - Air Force Service, Party General Secretary Lam emmphasized that the Service is the main force in safeguarding the homeland. He said he hopes that they will continue to demonstrate their spirit and will and master more modern technologies.
