The article affirms that the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) has always been a core force which, together with the entire Party and the people, has achieved numerous glorious victories in national liberation, construction, and defense. These achievements, it notes, stem from many factors, foremost among them the Party’s absolute, direct, and comprehensive leadership over the Army.

To continue promoting the VPA’s role in national development and defense in the new era, the article identifies four key tasks.

First, the VPA must remain steadfast in upholding and strengthening the Party’s absolute, direct, and comprehensive leadership. This leadership is vital to the Army’s nature and strength, and under all circumstances remains a prerequisite for its development.

In implementing strategic goals marking 100 years under the Party’s leadership and 100 years of national founding, the VPA must serve as a core force advising the Party and State, seizing opportunities and overcoming challenges.

It must truly be an army for combat, work, and production; make breakthroughs in defense industry development in line with building an independent and self-reliant economy; and contribute more effectively to peace and stability in the region and the world.

Second, the article stresses the need to build the Military Party Committee into a truly clean, strong, comprehensive, and exemplary body, seen as the decisive factor in maintaining Party leadership and ensuring the successful fulfillment of all assigned tasks.

Third, it calls for continuously enhancing the Military Party Committee‘s comprehensive leadership and combat strength, along with improving the effectiveness of Party and political work.

This includes consolidating Party organizations in line with organizational restructuring, strictly observing Party principles, strengthening self-criticism and criticism, and conducting objective evaluations of Party organizations and members.

Fourth, the VPA must resolutely defeat the plots and subversive activities of hostile forces. Party committees and organizations, and political agencies at all levels are urged to strictly implement the Politburo’s Resolution 35 on protecting the Party’s ideological foundation and combating erroneous and hostile viewpoints, especially in cyberspace.

Concluding the article, the Party General Secretary expressed firm confidence that the Vietnam People’s Army will continue to uphold its fine traditions, build a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern force, firmly safeguard the Fatherland, and contribute to building a peaceful, prosperous, and happy country in the new era.
