At the meeting, the Party leader emphasized that 2025 is a year of major events and urgent tasks that must be accomplished to create the premise for the nation's "take-off" period. He stressed the need to “continue to maintain and strengthen the Party's leadership, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of State management in building, managing and protecting national borders.”
“Efforts should be made to improve the capacity to advise, regularly grasp and correctly assess the security and political situation in border areas, islands, key areas, and traditional and non-traditional security issues,” he added.
The General Secretary requested the Border Guard forces nationwide to strongly innovate in their mindset on management, protection of territorial sovereignty and national border security; perfect mechanisms, policies and legal systems on building and protecting national borders; focus on researching and proposing issues on technology and digital transformation in border and border gate management and protection activities; and coordinate to effectively implement the National Border Protection Strategy.
