(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stressed the need to improve the effectiveness of cooperation with Malaysia in education and training, especially at the university level as he delivered a speech at the National University of Malaysia on Wednesday.

Addressing lecturers and students, Prime Minister Chinh emphasized the importance of education and training, science and technology, innovation and digital transformation for each country and region, saying that knowledge is the key and technology is the door to open a brighter future for countries.
Amid globalization, digital transformation and the fourth industrial revolution, it’s more urgent than ever to develop high-quality human resources, he said, it’s time when training institutions play a central role in preparing human resources for the future.
Reviewing cooperation in education-training, science, technology and digital transformation between Vietnam and Malaysia, PM Chinh called for more efforts to strengthen cooperation in training high-tech human resources, as well as scientific research between universities and enterprises of the two countries. It’s necessary to expand academic exchanges, connect students, coordinate training programs, quality assessment, and encourage creative startups.
The Prime Minister also suggested that the two sides increase the sharing of information and experience in building institutions for new economic models and AI governance, while connecting their high-tech parks, innovation centers and startup incubators.
PM Chinh applauded the National University of Malaysia for signing of a Letter of Intent for cooperation with two leading universities in Vietnam.
