PM calls HCM city’s socio-economic achievements “stunning”
(VOVWORLD) - Though the locality hardest hit by COVID-19 in Vietnam, HCM city has recorded “stunning” socio-economic achievements over the past year, said Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh during a meeting with municipal leaders on Sunday.

The city’s Gross Regional Domestic Product this year is projected to grow 9%, exceeding the plan of between 6% and 6.5%. Its export turnover is estimated at 49.5 billion USD, up 10.3%, and the Index of Industrial Production is expected to expand 17.3%.
PM Chinh said HCM city’s achievements have contributed significantly to Vietnam’s effort to maintain macroeconomic stability and control inflation.
He suggested that HCM city give priority to the disbursement of public investment, noting that the Government will continue to help the city remove all barriers in this area.
