The plan aims to establish a specialized Medical-Pharmaceutical Industrial Zone within the Le Minh Xuan 2 Industrial Park in Binh Chanh district, spanning an area of 338 hectares, dedicated to pharmaceutical production.
The city will focus on transferring technology to produce drugs and medical equipment, prioritizing the production of medical equipment using advanced technologies, and producing vaccines, biological products, and producing and inventing drugs to meet domestic disease prevention and treatment needs.
The municipal authorities will work out policies and mechanisms and recommend that the government introduce supportive measures to encourage businesses to invest in and build high-tech research and production facilities, thereby fostering the growth of the specialized Medical-Pharmaceutical Industrial Zone.
Additionally, the city will incentivize domestically owned companies, including interest rate support for investment projects, and will allocate budget funds to infrastructure investment.
