PM joins Tet celebration with Vietnamese community in Poland

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his spouse joined the Vietnamese community in Poland in the “Homeland Spring 2025” program, held in Warsaw on Friday in anticipation of the 2025 Lunar New Year Festival (Tet).

The event brought together Vietnamese people and their families from across Poland, representing the nearly 30,000-strong Vietnamese community in the European country.

PM Chinh expressed his gratitude for the community’s contributions to both Vietnam and Poland. He highlighted their role as a cultural bridge between the two nations and commended their efforts in preserving Vietnamese traditions while integrating into Polish society.

Mr. Chinh said that he has called for Polish leaders to officially recognize the Vietnamese community in Poland as an ethnic minority group.

He presented the Third-Class Labour Order to the Vietnamese Association in Poland, acknowledging its significant contributions to the overseas Vietnamese community.
