Vietnam, China seek more cooperation in aviation industry
(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha welcomed Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC)’s interest in collaborating with Vietnamese carriers, particularly VietJet, to diversify Vietnam’s aircraft fleet and meet the rapid growth of Vietnam's aviation market.

Receiving COMAC Director Tan Wangeng in Hanoi on Wednesday, Deputy PM Ha suggested that VietJet and COMAC explore cooperation with the Chinese airline currently operating COMAC’s airplanes to test specific routes already serviced by VietJet.
He tasked the Ministry of Transport with leading efforts to review existing regulations and propose amendments to address challenges to the operation of COMAC aircraft in Vietnam.
Director Tan said Vietnam's aviation is a driving force for regional aviation.
