Both sides agreed to fulfill their cooperation potential, especially in education, science, technology, maritime transport, and clean energy. Mr. Bracke said he supports prompt signing of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), Vietnam’s stance on international issues, and collaboration between Vietnam and Belgium at multilateral forums.
The same day, PM Phuc had a working session with 40 EU and Belgian businesses, organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the Belgian and Vietnamese embassies, and the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (Eurocham).
Earlier, PM Phuc received leaders of Solveigh and Nijhuis, two Dutch businesses with experience in erosion prevention, water exploitation, and climate change adaptation. Mr. Phuc said the Vietnamese government wants its Dutch partners to share their experience and help Vietnam solve problems of coastal erosion, subsidence, climate change response, and sustainable development.
