PM receives Founder and Chairman of Berggruen Holdings
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hosted a reception in Hanoi on Tuesday for Mr. Nicholas Berggruen, Founder and Chairman of Berggruen Holdings Investment Company and Berggruen Institute, and Professor Nguyen Thi Lien Hang, Director of the Weatherhead Institute for East Asian Studies at Columbia University (USA).

During the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized Vietnam's development strategy, centered on three main pillars: socialist democracy, a rule-based socialist state, and a socialist-oriented market economy.
He outlined Vietnam’s focus on six key tasks and three strategic breakthroughs in institutional reform, infrastructure development, and human resource training, aimed at building an independent, self-reliant, and globally integrated economy.
The Prime Minister praised the deepening Vietnam-US relationship with stronger cooperation in economic, trade, investment, and other fields following the upgradation to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Mr. Nicholas Berggruen expressed admiration for Vietnam's significant progress over the years. He affirmed that Berggruen Holdings is keen to cooperate with Vietnam, particularly in human resource development.
