The 519km transmission line, stretching from Pho Noi in the northern province of Hung Yen to Quang Trach in the central province of Quang Binh, traverses nine provinces and has a cost of around 916 million USD.

Its construction began in January this year to meet growing demand for power in peak times. Compensation and site clearance have already been completed, paving the way for swift progress.

Chairing a meeting with ministries, agencies and localities on Monday, PM Chinh said the project is crucial for socio-economic development, national defence and security and social welfare of localities it serves.

He urged stakeholders to redouble their efforts to complete the project with the highest sense of responsibility.
