PM Chinh, head of the Government’s Steering Committee on reforming and reorganizing the political system, chaired the 8th meeting on Monday which discussed the termination of the Commission for Management of State Capital at Enterprises and the transfer of rights and responsibilities of the State ownership representative in 19 corporations.
The Government should directly manage only a select group of strategic corporations pivotal to the national economy, crucial for macroeconomic regulation and essential to national strategic tasks, the PM said.
He ordered a thorough review of best practices and successful approaches to identify the most optimal solutions. The findings and recommendations should be reported to the Central Steering Committee and the Politburo for consideration.
