Preparations made to bring home Vietnamese workers in Libya
(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese government office has announced Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s order to protect Vietnamese workers in Libya.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has asked government ministries to evacuate and ensure safety of Vietnamese workers in Libya.

The Prime Minister asked the Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs to stop sending Vietnamese workers to Libya and prepare to bring the 281 Vietnamese workers in Tripoli and Benghazi home before the situation gets any worse. The Foreign Ministry and other Vietnamese agencies in Libya were instructed to keep a close watch on the situation and work with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs to ensure the safety of Vietnamese citizens in Libya.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung approved use of the Overseas Labour Support Fund to buy plane tickets for the workers if they cannot afford to buy the tickets themselves.
