(VOVWORLD) -President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived at Soekarno Hatta airport, Jakarta, on Wednesday evening, beginning a state visit to Indonesia.

As planned, after the state welcome ceremony, President Phuc will have official talks with President Joko Widodo and witness the exchange of a number of cooperation documents between the two countries.
The Vietnamese President will meet with leaders of the Indonesian bicameral chambers and a number of large Indonesian enterprises.
He will visit the headquarters of the Secretariat of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), meet with the ASEAN Secretary-General and the Ambassadors, Chargé d'affaires of ASEAN countries.
Vietnam and Indonesia established diplomatic relations in 1955 and set up the strategic partnership in 2013.
