(VOVworld) - President Truong Tan Sang has called on every province, soldier, and people nationwide to be responsible and draw up plans on disaster control and prevention, in combination with socio-economic development programs. Sang made the request today/on Monday in a letter sent to people and soldiers across the country to mark Floods and Storms Prevention and Disaster Reduction Day on May 22^nd. In the letter, Sang highlighted the importance of measure to minimize losses caused by natural calamities. He also asked for close coordination between the relevant agencies, and the armed forces to respond quickly to ensure security and social orders in any situation.
