President Nguyen Xuan Phuc receives Russian Ambassador Konstantin Vasilievich Vnukov

At a meeting with Russian Ambassador Konstantin Vasilievich Vnukov, who came to deliver President Vladimir Putin’s congratulatory letter to President Phuc, Phuc said Vietnam wants the two countries to work closely in all fields including politics, economics, and culture. He urged the two sides to help their businesses to strengthen bilateral cooperation. He asked Russia to enhance cooperation with ASEAN and support ASEAN’s role in addressing regional issues.

The Russian Ambassador said Russia takes cooperation with Vietnam a priority in its external relations policy and praised President Phuc’s contribution to bilateral ties. He lauded Vietnam’s fight against COVID-19 and that Russia has successfully produced COVID-19 vaccines and is ready to send the vaccines to Vietnam.
