President receives Korea-Vietnam friendship and cooperation organizations

(VOVWORLD) -President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Sunday afternoon received a number of organizations of friendship, economic and cultural cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges, which have made positive contributions to promoting relations between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.

Meeting a representative of the Vietnamese Ly descendants in Korea, President Phuc suggested that the Ly compatriots continue to organize visits to Vietnam on holidays, introduce Vietnam’s market and investment conditions, encourage Korean businesses to invest in the country, and promote Vietnamese culture among Korean people, making an important contribution to the bonding between the nations.

At a meeting with the Korea-Vietnam Friendship Association (KOVIFA), the President called on the Association to encourage Korean businesses to strengthen investment and trade cooperation with Vietnam and coordinate to support the community of 200,000 Vietnamese in Korea, especially the families of Vietnamese brides who are married to Korean citizens.

Receiving the Korea-Vietnam Economic and Cultural Exchange Association (KOVECA), the President suggested that the Association further promote cooperation projects between the two countries, especially in high technology, renewable energy, new environmentally friendly industries, technology transfer, and medicine in the face of epidemics.

President Phuc also received representatives of the Korea Eminent Person Group (EPG).
