President To Lam visits war invalids in Thuan Thanh

(VOVWORLD) -President To Lam on Wednesday visited and presented gifts to war invalids at the Thuan Thanh War Invalids Nursing Center in Bac Ninh province, ahead of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27.

At the Center, President To Lam expressed his deep gratitude to the predecessors, soldiers, compatriots, families of martyrs, wounded soldiers, and people with meritorious services nationwide who have contributed to and sacrificed for the country.

The President praised the Thuan Thanh War Invalids Nursing Center and the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs for the treatment, health care, and rehabilitation for wounded and sick soldiers.

President To Lam emphasized that the country has been in peace and unified for nearly half a century and called for special attention to war invalids, sick soldiers, and people with meritorious services, who are getting older, so that they can enjoy policies commensurate with the development of the country and the people's lives. 

“I request the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to continue to coordinate effectively with the government, organizations and individuals, in promoting socialization and expanding facilities to better meet the needs of care and treatment for wounded and sick soldiers, in accordance with the new situation and development of our country,” President To Lam said.
