(VOV-TV)-Prime Minister Nguyen Tan  Dung today/ on Monday met Tony Blair, the former UK Prime Minister, who is paying a visit to Vietnam. Prime Minister Dung praised Mr Blair for visiting, saying it will help to boost the strategic partnership between both countries in every field especially in politics, and diplomacy, and during multi-lateral forums.

Mr Dung said Vietnam was keen to strengthen bilateral cooperation in economics, trade, investment, tourism, education and training. The country also hopes that the UK will continue its official development assistance to Vietnam, focusing on infrastructure and adapting to climate change. Prime Minister Dung underlined Blair’s good will in sharing his experiences with Vietnam during its process of reform and international economic integration. He called on the former UK Prime Minister to support peace, stability and free navigation in  East Sea and ASEAN’s six-point principles on the East Sea.
