Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh receives Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Ito Naoki
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has urged Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Ito Naoki to further promote investment cooperation projects in Vietnam, including in Thanh Hoa province, particularly in supply chain security and energy.

Meeting the ambassador on the sideline of the 2026 Thanh Hoa Investment Promotion Conference in Thanh Hoa province, Prime Minister Chinh underscored the principle of “harmonized benefits and shared risks” to enhance the effectiveness of bilateral investment cooperation for the benefit of both countries’ businesses and people.

Ambassador Ito affirmed that Japanese businesses continue to view Vietnam as an important and attractive investment destination in the region, and pledged to strengthen cooperation with Thanh Hoa in the coming period.
He also expressed hope for closer coordination in advancing key joint projects such as the Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Complex and the Vietnam-Japan University project.
