This is the first time that a South Korean First Lady has hosted a meeting with foreign students.

Ms. Kim said Korean culture has been welcomed in Vietnam, particularly by the younger generation. She said her family love to eat Vietnamese dishes like pho (noodle served with beef or chicken) and bun cha (grilled pork and noodle). She called Korean football coach Park Hang-seo of Vietnam’s U23 football team a bridge that connects the two countries.

Ta Le Huyen, a student from Kyung Hee University, said she hopes the South Korean government and universities will offer more scholarships to Vietnamese students. Nguyen Phuong Dung, a student from Sejong University, said she hopes the two governments will adopt more policies to expand education and training collaboration.
