But Lavrov warned Ukraine that it should end its military campaign against pro-Moscow rebels in the country’s eastern region and implement the Geneva agreement signed on April 17th. Lavrov said Russia is expecting Porosenko to invite international experts to investigate the Odessa tragedy on May 2nd and the Mariupole event on May 9th, and that Moscow awaits international observers, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, and the European Parliament to ensure peaceful dialogues. This will be the main criteria for judging the new administration in Kiev and Poroshenko himself.
