Russia, China foster bilateral ties
(VOVWORLD) -Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping discussed bilateral and global issues of mutual concern as they met on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in Kazan on Tuesday.

President Xi said the BRICS cooperation mechanism is a pillar in promoting equitable and orderly multipolarization of the world and universally beneficial and inclusive economic globalization.
He said he expects to have an in-depth discussion with Putin and other world leaders on the future of the BRICS cooperation mechanism that will secure more opportunities for the Global South.
President Putin said he wants to advance ties with China for global stability, adding that Russian-Chinese cooperation is a stabilizing factor in the global arena.
