Vietnam considers Russia one of its top priority partners: PM

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam considers Russia one of its top priority partners in its foreign policy, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said, adding that the Vietnamese Government always welcomes and creates favorable conditions for Russian businesses, including oil and gas firms, to learn about and expand their operations in Vietnam.

Within the framework of the 2024 Expanded BRICS Summit in Kazan city, during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak, the Vietnamese Prime Minister emphasized that political and diplomatic relations between the two countries have flourished, especially after the State visit to Vietnam by President Vladimir Putin in June 2024.

Deputy Prime Minister Novak affirmed that President Putin and the Russian Government leaders attach importance to the comprehensive strategic partnership with Vietnam. Russia considers Vietnam one of important partners in the Asia-Pacific region, he said.
