State President, overseas Vietnamese pay tribute to predecessors

(VOVWORLD) - State President Luong Cuong, along with nearly 100 overseas Vietnamese, offered incense at Kinh Thien Palace in the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi on Sunday to honor the nation's predecessors who dedicated their lives to national construction and defense.

This event was part of the "Homeland Spring 2025" program, an annual celebration co-organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hanoi People’s Committee.  

The delegation prayed for peace, prosperity, and success for Vietnam and participated in a traditional ceremony to release carp into President Ho Chi Minh’s fish pond at the Presidential Palace complex.  

As part of the program, a decision by the Prime Minister was announced on Sunday, officially recognizing three automobiles used by President Ho Chi Minh between 1954 and 1969 as national treasures.
