Storm Noul makes landfall in central region
(VOVWORLD) - Storm Noul, the biggest storm in Vietnam so far this year, made landfall on Friday in central provinces from Quang Binh to Quang Nam, according to the National Centre for Hydrometeorological Forecasting.

Local authorities from Thanh Hoa to Binh Thuan province have cooperated with border guards to help evacuate more than 58,000 vessels, and implement plans to ensure public safety, especially in coastal areas.
Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung was overseeing storm prevention and control in Thua Thien Hue and Quang Tri provinces. He said, “We should focus on ensuring the safety of houses and public facilities such as schools and health clinics. Attention should be paid to protecting production and service facilities and tourists to minimize the loss of lives and property”.
