Meeting with authorities in Thua Thien Hue province on Thursday to make preparations, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung asked the provincial administration to instruct vessels to head to shelters and ensure safety for human life and property: “We should focus on ensuring safety of houses and public facilities such as schools and health clinics. We should particularly help people reinforce production and service facilities while protecting tourists and minimizing human and property losses caused by the storm”.

The storm is forecast to directly affect central provinces, especially Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien-Hue and Da Nang, causing heavy rain, high risk of flash flood and landslides.
