The best ideas were presented at the 3rd International Design Competition Exhibition and Award Ceremony in Vung Tau city on Tuesday

Aiming to make Bac Phuoc Thang area in Vung Tau city the first "zero carbon" urban area, the students suggested integrating architectural design, spatial organization, and technology, while preserving indigenous cultural values and the ability to adapt to climate change.

Covering more than 2,300 hectares, Bac Phuoc Thang is on the road between Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh City.

Vu Hong Thuan, Vice Chairman of the Vung Tau municipal People’s Committee, said that Bac Phuoc Thang was chosen for the model.

“15 projects, selected from more than 40 entries, contain some good ideas on building a carbon-neutral city. Vung Tau city will use these ideas as a starting point for planning and managing Vung Tau city," said Thuan.
