The withdrawal conformed with a new agreement between the rebels and the Syrian government which evacuates 2,250 people from Homs to a northern rural area. The 6-point agreement calls for the release of Iranian and Lebanese prisoners currently held by the Syrian Islamic Front – the largest rebel coalition in Syria – and allows the Syrian government to deliver medicine and other emergency supply to the towns of Nubbol and Al-Zahraa.
