Top leader meets outstanding overseas Vietnamese
(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary and President To Lam said that the overseas Vietnamese community is always an inseparable part and a resource of the Vietnamese nation, contributing to strengthening relations between Vietnam and other countries.

Mr. Lam made the statement at a meeting in Hanoi on Friday with representatives of more than 400 OVs from 42 countries and territories attending the recent 4th World Conference of OVs and the 2024 forum of OV intellectuals and experts.
“I hope that the 6 million overseas Vietnamese will continue to join hands to build a powerful, prosperous, and happy Vietnam. President Ho Chi Minh told overseas Vietnamese during a visit to France in 1946: ‘Each overseas Vietnamese must be a People's Ambassador of Vietnam and contribute to the common cause of the entire nation,’” said Mr. Lam.
He called on OV experts, intellectuals, scientists, and those who can gain fast access to modern technology and advanced knowledge to continue to contribute to the homeland’s construction and development.
Mr. Lam said he expects that OVs will not only return home to invest but also serve as a bridge to bring Vietnamese goods and brands to the world.
