Chairman Hue suggested several initiatives to unleash the potential for greater cooperation between localities in Vietnam and China.

These include accelerating strategic development connections and effectively implementing cooperation agreements signed during the recent visit to Vietnam by Party General Secretary and President of China, Xi Jinping, particularly the plan to connect the “Two Corridors, One Belt” framework with the “Belt and Road” initiative and the plan to build a road bridge between Bat Xat in Vietnam and Ba Sa in China, crossing the Red River.

The two sides should early agree on a plan to connect the railway section between Vietnam’s Lao Cai station and China’s Hekou North station, Mr. Hue said.

The Vietnamese National Assembly will continue to support the entire political system to promulgate appropriate policies and build a transparent, fair, comprehensive legal framework to create favorable conditions for foreign investors to do business conveniently and successfully in Vietnam, he noted.

"Let’s together realize new achievements and new content of the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership between Vietnam and China to make the relationship between the two Parties and countries deeper, and more stable, fruitful, and durable,” said Chairman Hue.

At the forum, delegates exchanged agreements on cooperation in various fields such as finance, supply chain; robot manufacturing, AI application in production and trade, and coffee production.
