(VOVworld) – Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday said Turkey could join a US-led operation to retake the IS’s stronghold of Raqqa only if Kurdish fighters are not involved.

The tension in relations between the US and Turkey is escalating regarding the US’s backing the Kurdish force in fighting the IS. President Erdogan accused the US of providing weapons for the Kurdish force in northern Syria, including 2 aircrafts for carrying weapons.
