US announces new trade policies with China

(VOVWORLD) - The US-China trade and economic relationship is complex and competitive and one of profound consequence, US Trade Representative Katherine Tai said on Monday at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), outlining the Biden administration’s new approach to the relationship.
Tai said China’s lack of adherence to global trading norms has undercut the prosperity of Americans and others around the world.
She laid out the starting point of the US administration’s strategic vision for realigning its China trade policies to defend the interests of America’s workers, businesses, farmers, and producers, and strengthen the American middle class.
