US considers travel ban on citizens from 30 countries
(VOVWORLD) - US Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem said she is proposing a full travel ban for citizens from certain countries deemed harmful to the United States.
Posting on social media platform X, Noem said she had discussed the proposal with US President Donald Trump and suggested banning entry for citizens from several “unwelcome” nations whose arrivals “drain taxpayer resources, undermine benefits for Americans, and fuel social instability.”
US media reports say the proposed ban may apply to about 30 countries, with the list expected to be released soon.
Previously, President Trump signed an executive order banning entry for citizens from seven countries
