The US embassy said Washington and Baghdad will share the 115 million USD cost, which includes equipment and training courses. Only 200 US soldiers have been stationed in Iraq since the US finished withdrawing its troops in late 2011. The remaining soldiers under the embassy’s control are tasked with transferring military facilities and training the Iraqi army.
