US, Japan, South Korea to expand the tripartite partnership
(VOVWORLD)-Senior US, Japanese, and South Korean diplomats held talks over the phone Monday, to discuss expanding the tripartite partnership and strengthen regional and global cooperation.

US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman, Japanese Vice Foreign Minister Takeo Mori, and South Korean First Vice Foreign Minister Chang Ho-jin reiterated their commitment to the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and continued trilateral cooperation in the face of North Korea’s continued provocations.
They discussed their strong opposition to any unilateral attempts to change the status quo by force or coercion, including in the Indo-Pacific, and emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.
