(VOVWORLD) - US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met ASEAN foreign ministers on Thursday and reaffirmed US commitment to ASEAN centrality and US support for the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific Region.

The meeting, which was held in New York City on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session, discussed global and regional issues, including the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, violence in Myanmar, ASEAN’s five-point consensus, and the need to ensure a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
