The statement came ahead of the talks between President Trump and President Zelensky and European leaders in Washington (USA) scheduled for Monday. Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak confirmed that Ukrainian President Zelensky has departed for Washington.
This will be the first face-to-face meeting between the two leaders in Washington since February, when the two sides publicly disagreed on resolving the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. This will also be the first meeting since the summit between President Trump and President Putin in Alaska (USA) on August 15.
