Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2015 closes
(VOVworld) – The Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2015 on global investment promotion closed on Tuesday after 3 days. In his closing speech, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi pledged to make India an easy place to do business and attract global investors with a stable tax system. Modi said his government is working towards a single window clearance system and is committed to creating a policy environment that is predictable, transparent and fair. He called on countries and investors to get involved in India’s development process under the “Make in India” initiative.
UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon began his speech by citing the need to shape the development agenda for 2015. “Vibrant Gujarat is not just about development and investment,” he said, adding that Modi has shown forward-looking leadership. He also lauded the Indian government’s efforts to use more renewable energy.
