Vietnam attends Voice of Global South Summit 2024 in India

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and delivered a keynote speech at the third Voice of Global South Summit held in a virtual format in India on Saturday.

Themed “An Empowered Global South for a Sustainable Future”, the event brought together leaders of more than 100 countries in the Global South to discuss a range of complex challenges that continue to affect the world, such as conflicts, food and energy security crises, climate change - all of which disproportionately affect developing countries in a severe manner.

At the Summit, the countries of the Global South continued deliberations on challenges, priorities, and solutions for the Global South, particularly in the developmental domain.

The inauguration session was chaired by Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, with the participation of heads of state and governments.

Alongside the Leaders’ Session, there will be 10 Ministerial Sessions, with the participation of ministers in charge of foreign affairs, health, youth, trade, information & technology, energy, education and environment.
