Vietnam, Cambodia bolster cooperation in military information sharing

(VOVworld) - The Operations Department of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) hopes to further cooperate with its Vietnamese counterpart from the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) in personnel training and information exchanges.

General Vong Veasna, Director of Cambodia’s Operations Department under the RCAF’s High Command, made the remark during a meeting with Chief of the VPA General Staff and Deputy Defence Minister Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty in Hanoi on July 20.

Ty noted that agencies and units under the two countries’ defence ministries are actively implementing the Protocol on bilateral defence cooperation between 2015 and 2019.

He said the two Operations Departments maintain regular delegation and information exchanges, fulfilling the missions of their two armies.

General Vong Veasna expressed his wish to continue bilateral collaboration in personnel training and information sharing with the Vietnamese Army’s Operations Department.
