Vietnam - Denmark boost multi-faceted cooperation

Dung said Vietnam hopes to further cooperation with Denmark in the areas of economics, trade, investment, ODA, education, and green growth. He expressed his desire that Denmark continue to offer incentives for the Vietnamese people to live stable lives in Denmark. Dung also asked Denmark to assist in responding to climate change, protecting natural resources and the ecosystem. Minister Villy Sovndal affirmed that Denmark will exert efforts to implement agreements and cooperate with Vietnam at the wish the Prime Minister. 
The same day, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh held talks with his Danish counterpart Villy Sovndal. They agreed to increase high-level exchanges to create momentum for bilateral relations to develop effectively and sustainably in all aspects and boost bilateral economic, trade, and investment cooperation. The Danish Minister said his government is accelerating the Growth Strategy with Vietnamese to offer favorable conditions for Danish businesses to invest in Vietnam. The two ministers pledged to work closely in international forums. Denmark confirmed that it would work to enhance Vietnam’s comprehensive cooperation with the EU, boost the Vietnam – EU negotiation on the Free Trade Agreement, and support the EU in recognizing Vietnam’s market economy.  Denmark supports Vietnam’s desire to resolve disputes in the East Sea by peaceful measures based on international law. The two ministers discussed regional and international issues of mutual concerns.
