(VOVWORLD) - The 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) concluded in Hanoi on Friday with the release of a resolution clarifying 10 specific targets and six action programmes in the 2024-2029 tenure.

The six action programs include those on increasing communications to unite people of all walks of life, strengthening social consensus, promoting the strength of the great national solidarity bloc, improving the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism, and promoting democracy and the engagement in Party and State building.
The Congress chose 397 members for the Front’s Central Committee, including 72 in the Presidium and 14 in the Standing Board. Eight members will be added later.
Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member and Secretary of the Party Central Committee continues to hold the presidency of the VFF Central Committee in the 10th tenure.
“We’re aware of our great honor and responsibility. We promise to dedicate ourselves to the tasks, overcome challenges, work with synchrony, flexibility, and creativity, and maintain unity to achieve the goals of the Congress,” Mr. Chien said.
