The signing on Monday in Hanoi was within the framework of the Vietnam visit by Finish Minister of Economic Affairs and Employment Arto Olavi Satonen, from Monday to Wednesday.

The MoU, which is valid for five years, establishes a partnership on labor migration between the two sides, on the basis of respect for international rules and standards.

Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung informed of Vietnamese human resources working in Finland, saying “Since the end of 2023, the Ministry has approved the registration of three Vietnamese service enterprises with contracts to supply 134 workers, including 65 women, to work in Finland. To date, 55 workers have gone to work in Finland, earning a stable income of 1,500 to 2,000 euros per month. Working conditions and social welfare are quite good.”

During previous talks, Minister Satonen expressed Finland’s desire to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam to help international businesses and professionals connect with each other. Finland is committed to supporting employers and professionals to ensure they have favorable conditions for successful recruitment, he said.
