Vietnam, India to achieve 15 billion USD trade turnover in 2022

(VOVWORLD) -Bilateral trade between Vietnam and India is expected to reach 15 billion USD next year when both countries are celebrating their 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties, said Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai.

During a working session of the Partnership Summit 2021, co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and Trade of India and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on Tuesday, Mr. Hai said that India is one of Vietnam’s top ten trading partners, while Vietnam is India's 17th largest trading partner globally. Bilateral trade between the two countries has tripled over the past decade, rising from 2.7 billion USD in 2010 to over 10 billion USD in 2020.
The working session was held one day ahead of the India visit by Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.
